Apple and Steak: The Perfect Combo
Silicon Valley is home to power houses that changed the world like Google and Apple. The Valley is now home to another world-changing event: Dining Out for Life. With proceeds going towards Health Trust AIDS Services, the Thursday, April 28, 2011 event will help continue services to Silicon Valley and Santa Clara County residents with HIV/AIDS.
Sponsors include The Mercury News newspaper, 94.5 K-Bay, NBC Bay Area, Yelp.com, and GayCities.com. These are the people who bring you news and the latest events in the area. They know what’s worth paying attention to, and have made the leap to sponsoring Dining Out for Life and helping in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
The support from the local media may stem from the fact that over 50 area restaurants will be donating a portion of the day’s profit. This lengthy list can be found HERE!
Try Bushido Izakaya for Japanese food that will be sure to satisfy your body and soul. “Bushido” refers to a code of conduct that all samurais lived by, which included values like dedication, honor, loyalty, veracity, sacrifice, courage, bravery, and a fearless spirit. This restaurant, located in Mountain View, CA, created a menu with a variety of options and will be helping in raising funds for Health Trust AIDS Services.
Or, for a dinner reminiscent of Havana nights, try Habana Cuba Restaurant. Their home style and blends of tropical seasonings are geared to bring dinner patrons back to Old Havana. Over 50 years of experience shows in a menu that has options like slow roasted port marinated in citrus juices, and lamb baked in tangy tomato sauce.
